Bedroom Renovation~! part 1

Hi everyone! Long time no blog post. Sorry about that, but I've been really busy with school and lots of stuff has been going on in my life ;A;

Since I've been really busy and pretty depressed and alone in my apartment, I've been ignoring cleaning my room for ages now. But we had a blizzard come in and, forced to stay inside, I finally unfucked everything!

It took a lot of cleaning, six loads of laundry, four bags of things to donate, and lots of vacuuming. I also got new furniture for the first time in five years! Well, it's not really new, it's from the 1960s, but it's new to me! I was able to donate all my old furniture to loving homes.

I know, it's really bad and super disgusting, which is why I slept on the couch for weeks because of it. Please don't judge me too much.. ;__;

I started with my clothes. I went through all of them and separated them between what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to donate. After that, I went through the 'keep' pile and separated them for laundry. I've only three loads left now! Which is great, considering I started with nine, bleh.

I then had to clear everything off and out of my dresser and desk and moved my bed (now sheet-less) to the other side of the room. Then came the furniture. It took two hours, but my dad and I moved it all in!

Next was putting everything back in its rightful place. I organized all of my closet space for this as well.

However, I'm not 100% happy with my bed yet. I'm getting an iron bedframe from my grandmother (that she used to have in the 60s!) and hopefully a new comforter cover and pillow shams. I'm also planning on getting some flower garlands and wrapping them around the headboard.

One day I will probably get a full length mirror and some curtains, but since my living situation isn't exactly permanent anymore, I will probably wait on these things.

I'm so glad my bedroom is finally as clean as the rest of my apartment is. When I move, I'll probably just move all of my figures into my room. There's an anime convention this weekend and I hope they will have some DBZ stuff for me to add to my collection!
